The following are just some of the examples of the many duties our security officers can carry out:

  • Protection of site assets from trespassers, theft, vandalism, protestors and terrorist threats
  • Prevention of theft of fuel
  • Health and Safety support to the limits of the capability of a qualified competent person in construction site health and safety
  • Regular site inspections with the intention that any hazards be identified, non-compliances noted, and risks reviewed, e.g blocked emergency exits and non-compliance with site Health & Safety rules
  • Creation of a reporting mechanism including the necessary documentation required to support the Principle Designer with the maintenance of the Health and Safety file
  • Support with what areas of the site are additional P.P.E zones (e.g Ear Defenders in zones classified by C.D.M regulations as needing compulsory Ear Defenders)

Falcon Eye Security also offers a Health and Safety Audit of the site.
The Audit will ensure that site risks are kept to a minimum.

“ Is the health and safety law poster displayed and completed?”

e.g. “ Is the emergency plan displayed so it can be seen when the site office is closed?”
“ Are the fire assembly points clearly marked?”
“ Is the 1st aider, and the 1st aid procedures included in the site induction?”
  • Excavations

“ Is guarding in place to prevent vehicles falling in?”
  • Work at Height
e.g. “ Is there an inspection regime?”
“ Is suitable access equipment being used?”
  • Plant and Equipment
e.g. “ Are test certificates on site?”
“ Is the plant/equipment left secure e.g. keys removed?”
  • Operatives
e.g. “ Are operations being carried out safely?”

“ Is noise eliminated or reduced where practicable?”
